Our Parks

Central Park is a large flat park with a large number of facilities.
Old Dagenham Park is a relatively large neighbourhood park of 13.3 hectares. There is a wide range of sports facilities such as football pitches, outdoor bowling, tennis courts, a wheel park and a BMX track (currently closed). It also offers space for informal recreation such as walking, jogging and children’s playground.
Barking Park is a park covering just under 30 hectares to the east of Barking town centre, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, in east London. It lies north of Longbridge Road, and is near the boundary with Loxford.
Parsloes Park is a 58 hectare public park in Dagenham in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It is owned and managed by the borough council. A small area opposite the Wren Road entrance is managed for wildlife and designated as a Local Nature Reserve called Parsloes Park Squatts.
Abbey Green is an area of parkland next to Barking Town Centre. It is named after Barking Abbey, which was once one of England’s wealthiest and most important religious institutions, founded in 666 AD. The remains of it can still be found near Abbey Road.
